Diana M. Peterson, President of SVN AuctionWorks, has 20+ years of experience in law, real estate brokerage and auctions. Prior to founding SVN AuctionWorks, an independently owned and operated franchise, Peterson served as Executive Vice President of Auctions by ATG. Peterson built the auction platform for Auctions by ATG and ran the company, utilizing the expertise she previously acquired launching and operating a real estate brokerage company, PMD Realty, LLC, for over a decade.
In 2001, seeing an opportunity to provide home owners an alternative disposition strategy, Peterson established PMD Realty. As a result, PMD Realty quickly became the leading local provider of flat-fee MLS listing services, dominating the emerging flat-fee market for several years. During that time, Peterson was recognized by the Chicago Association of Realtors as one of the top 5 producing realtors, having closed +$130M in residential sales and negotiated +500,000 SF of commercial lease and sale transactions.
In addition to her client-focused philosophy, Peterson is known for her exceptional negotiation and legal skills, honed during years of practice as an attorney. Prior to starting PMD Realty, LLC, Peterson worked for U.S. Equities Realty, and Jones Lang LaSalle; she practiced law with D'Ancona & Pflaum and Hedlund Hanley & John. Peterson draws on these experiences in upholding her commitment to provide only the highest level of service to her clients.
Peterson earned a law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she served as an editor of the Minnesota Law Review, and before that, acquired a Bachelor of Arts (with honors) from the University of Chicago. Apart from her Illinois law license, she holds an Illinois real estate managing broker's license and an Illinois auction license. Peterson is also a certified REO broker and personal property appraiser.
Frequently quoted in the news, Peterson has been featured in DS News, GlobeSt.com, Crain's, Illinois Real Estate Journal, Real Estate Executive magazine and many other publications. Peterson is often engaged as a speaker at real estate conferences as well.
Peterson is a member of Turnaround Management Association (TMA), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Real Estate Investment Association (REIA), International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), Commercial Real Estate Executive Women (CREW), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR), National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the National Auctioneers Association (NAA).
Active in the community, Peterson devotes time to serving on local non-profit boards. Peterson currently serves on the board of Northwestern University Settlement House and recently served on the boards of True Mentors, The Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative, The Auxiliary Board of the Art Institute of Chicago, PAWS Chicago, The Poetry Center of Chicago, and The Young Leaders Fund of the Chicago Community Trust.

David Makowski Senior Vice President of SVN AuctionWorks, has 30+ years of experience in sales and marketing management. His primary responsibilities include business development, marketing and providing brokerage services to commercial and residential clients.
Prior to joining SVN AuctionWorks, David worked in the consumer packaged goods, private equity and start-up sectors. His corporate experience at companies such as Kraft Foods, PepsiCo (Quaker) and Ralston Purina was primarily focused overseeing sales teams and developing annual sales plans, budgets and new, business development opportunities. David's experience in the private equity and start-up sectors included acquiring and turning around distressed businesses, bankruptcy recoveries, and leading successful start-ups of disruptive products in mature spaces.
David draws on his corporate and private equity background to assist SVN AuctionWorks clients in the sale of assets involved in bankruptcy and turn-around situations as well as in more complex sales involving both a business and real estate.
In addition to the private sector, David has had significant business experience working with the US Government contracting community, specifically the US Army and Special Forces in both domestic and overseas operations.
David Holds a B.S. in Marketing from Fairfield University. He is married and has a daughter. He enjoys golf, hunting, fishing and cooking. He also dedicates personal time to mentoring retired soldiers transitioning from military service.

Michael Bryant Senior Advisor of SVN AuctionWorks, has 41 years of experience in sales and management. His primary responsibilities include business development and providing commercial real estate brokerage services.
Prior to joining SVN AuctionWorks, Michael worked in the petroleum industry as a sales manager, operations manager, business development manager, business brokerage consultant and real estate broker. Michael's experience in the petroleum industry was focused on negotiating the sales and mergers of multiple oil companies, including the sale of the companies real estate holdings, supply contracts and business assets. Frequently charged with liquidating the remaining assets and real estate holdings of a company, Michael was responsible for negotiating vendor contracts as well as real estate sales and leases. Additionally, he performed the financial analysis and led the project management teams to help successfully achieve a company merger or sale.
Michael draws on his decades of sales and management experience to assist SVN AuctionWorks clients in the purchase, sale and leasing of commercial real estate assets and real estate with a business. His prior business brokerage and real estate sales experience in the petroleum industry makes him especially knowledgeable when handling the sale or leasing of commercial real estate involving automotive, trucking and/or oil and gas related uses, as well as properties with potential environmental issues.
In addition to his work in the private sector, Michael has significant teaching experience. As an adjunct professor for National-Louis University and McHenry County Community College, Michael has taught courses in economics, ethics, leadership and business.
Michael holds an MBA from Webster University and a B.S. in Business Administration from Central Michigan University.

Rose Lucania serves as operations manager for SVN AuctionWorks. In this capacity, Rose works closely with the president of SVN AuctionWorks to assist in all aspects of the auction process and manage the office operations.
Prior to joining SVN AuctionWorks, Rose started her career in online auctions with Rick Levin & Associates in 2009. As a senior auction coordinator, she managed hundreds of personal property and real estate auctions serving such clients as the FDIC, US Marshals Service, US Treasury Department, and the US Army. Before entering the auction industry, Rose spent 10 years in real estate working with First Eagle Development/KMA Development as an office manager for both residential and commercial new construction development projects.
In her free time Rose enjoys spending time with her three sons and cooking.
